Start with the skin’s condition
Common acquisition routes include:
- Achievements and Medals that directly unlock the reward.
- Seasonal or event challenges with their own conditions.
- Barracks purchases using Coins earned by playing matches.
A Weapon Skin Set unlocks the set; you do not need to earn the same set separately for each weapon.
Coins and Iron do not skip an active challenge
If a challenge is still active, its reward cannot be bought around with Coins or Iron. Complete that challenge if you want its reward during the active period.
Some limited rewards may move to Barracks after a cooldown. There is no verified universal number of cooldown days to apply to every item. The September 30 notes also say collaboration rewards enter Barracks after their timed exclusivity ends.
Keep exceptions and future rewards separate
Premium content, charity packs and collaboration rewards can have exceptions. Do not assume every cosmetic is free.
The legendary character skin tied to Dead Serious was planned to be revealed in Season 2. As of October 9, this guide does not present it as an already previewable, claimable reward.
